As a wedding photographer, I’m always thrilled to have the opportunity to capture beautiful celebrations of all kinds. So when I was asked to document Cale Balloons and Events work at the rustic-chic La Fromagerie in downtown Sudbury, I knew I was in for a treat. When I met the mama-to-be I just had to ask if I could capture her as well, thank you Jaime!

The Venue

From the reclaimed wood floors to the exposed brick walls, La Fromagerie exudes a warm, inviting ambiance perfect for intimate events. We had the dining room reserved for our private party and Jaime and her friends put together the most precious decor. Combined with the work of Cale Balloons it was such a great aesthetic.

As guests arrived, the attentive staff had everything meticulous prepared. Dainty tea lights and lush greenery adorned the long farm tables where we gathered, setting the scene for an afternoon brimming with thoughtful details.

The Decadent Spread

Of course, La Fromagerie truly shined with their incredible culinary offerings. They provided a vast selection of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and accompaniments. The customized menu featured delectable treats like creamy baked brie, flavorful charcuterie bites, and rich truffled mac and cheese.

An Unforgettable Balloon Installation

While La Fromagerie set the backdrop, it was the incredible artistry of Cale Balloons and Events that truly brought the decor to life. From the whimsical balloon garland cascading down the entrance to the dainty buntings at each place setting, every last detail was executed flawlessly.

But the showstopping centerpiece was the jaw-dropping oversized bloom sculpture, with cream strands flowing down like a cascading umbrella. It was a masterpiece and such a beautiful nod to the new life we were celebrating.

La Fromagerie: A Premier Event Space in Sudbury

As both a restaurant and event venue, La Fromagerie truly goes above and beyond to provide an exceptional experience for all occasions. Their dedicated events team specializes in tailoring every single detail to the unique vision and preferences of the host.

From weddings and rehearsal dinners to baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries, and even divorce parties (yes, really!), La Fromagerie has tackled events of all sizes and styles with professionalism and creativity. They have several different event packages to choose from, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 for an all-inclusive wedding experience.

What really sets them apart is their flexibility and willingness to accommodate special requests. La Fromagerie partners with clients to craft customized menus, sourcing high-quality ingredients to meet dietary needs like vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and more. Their talented culinary team takes pride in preventing cross-contamination for those with food allergies.

The venue itself features different spaces that can be rented out based on your party size and vision. The dining room where Jamie’s shower took place allowed for an entirely private experience just for our group. However, their pricing does get more affordable if you’re open to having the adjoining patio remain open to the public during your event.

In terms of decor, La Fromagerie gives hosts the freedom to bring in any external decorators or vendors to transform the space. The only restrictions are on items that could cause damage like confetti, or create potential hazards like smoke/haze machines and open flames. But otherwise, they’re quite flexible.
